Philippe Veron

Professor at Arts et Métiers engineering school in Aix-en-Provence, France and member of the Physical and Digital Systems Engineering Laboratory

Philippe VERON is full Professor at Arts et Métiers engineering school in Aix-en-Provence, France and member of the Physical and Digital Systems Engineering Laboratory (LISPEN, French Research Ministry unit n°7515, www.lispen.ensam.eu). His research activity is in the field of design science and digital engineering of complex industrial products and buildings. His main research interests are on the development of geometric modelling approaches in the context of a multi-view and integrated design environment. A particular interest is also shown towards multi-site collaborative design product approaches.

He is director of the Carnot ARTS institute (www.ic-arts.eu) which brings together 23 French research laboratories to develop research works for the enterprises. He is President of the 39 French Carnot institutes Network (www.instituts-carnot.eu) and Vice-President of the i-Lab innovation competition of the French Research Ministry. He is also responsible of the engineer training “Complex Products and Systems Engineering”, co-director of the specialized postgraduate training “Digital Engineering of Products” and director of the specialized postgraduate training “Designer of global unmanned vehicles solutions”.
