Trained in Aerospace Engineering from the Technical University of Delft (Netherlands). Currently serves as the deputy research manager of the Heat Transfer and Fluid Dynamics department of TNO, Dutch applied research institute. He devotes most of his time to projects connected to offshore hydrogen production from renewable energy sources and asset optimization in the North Sea. In his early career at TNO, Mr González Díez was a technical consultant and researcher focusing on integrity issues for process piping, rotating equipment and flow assurance for offshore and subsea oil & gas assets. He represents TNO in API standarization forums 617, 17J, 17B.
